Pros and Cons of Bringing a Cell Phone to School

- In case of an emergencies students will be able to contact their parents/guardians or 911
- Some cell phones have games (educational and/or entertainment)
- Showing off your cell phones to friends (newest designs and technology )
-You do not have to wait until you get home to talk to your friends
-Convenience-some phones are equipped with internet for easy access for research

-Having a cell phones can be a temptation and a distraction
- Lost/stolen cell phones can be expensive to replace
-Showing off cell phones you may risk having it stolen
- Phone may ring in class (causing class distractions) risking having it taken up and having to pay a fee to retrieve it
- If a teacher sees or hears a cell phone out in class they may suspect that the student is cheating
